Where In The World?

Where in the world is this country that I am talking about? Just a heads-up, I'm NOT talking about Papua New Guinea. There is French speaking country in Western Africa, known as Guinea as pictured below. Guinea was once a French colony, but cut all ties to France, when they gained their independence in 1958. Aside from French, there are about 20 local languages spoken, including the widespread languages of Susu, Pulaar, and Malinke. The country is predominantly Muslim, with pockets of Christians, and more traditional African beliefs. Guinea is a country rich in bauxite, iron, and gold, but due to corruption and underdevelopment, the country has not be able to harness this wealth. Guinea, according to the UN, is currently the 9th least developed country in the world.

(I apologize that this map is not up to date. It was the best one I could find that easily highlighted Guinea in regards to the continent)
